As Pure As Air Should Be

The air in your home will be cleaner, fresher and healthier thanks to the filtration of more than 99.97% of the most common irritants, allergens and pollutants such as fine dust, aerosols, pollen, gases and bacteria. ² ³

Dust

Common dust generally falls from the air to the ground. However, some dust particles may float in the air, especially after cleaning or when doors or windows have been opened.

Fine Dust

Fine dust from industry, traffic, agriculture, cooking, candles or fireplaces can cause respiratory issues and irritation of the eyes, nose, throat or lungs. This particulate matter is known as PM2.5 because it can be as small as 2.5 microns.

Ultra-Fine Dust

Ultra-fine dust (UFP), similar to regular fine dust, floats in the air and can cause respiratory issues. These particles, also called nano-particles, are even smaller than PM2.5.

Volatile Organic Compounds

VOC’s are chemical substances that can cause serious danger to health. In household environments, VOC’s typically come from cleaning products, air fresheners, disinfectants, pesticides, paint or solvents.

Exhaust Gases

Exhaust gases from traffic or industry contain a range of harmful substances, including fine dust and VOC’s. Wells air purifiers are an effective way to ensure clean air in your home, especially in cities or industrial areas.

Bad Smells And Tobacco Smoke

Bad smells are typically caused by gases or organic elements in the air. Smoke from tobacco contains a variety of harmful pollutants, including fine dust and VOC’s.

Pollen

Pollen is a powdery substance released seasonally by plants. It can cause severe allergic reactions or respiratory complaints.

Mites

Dust mites can cause respiratory issues and allergic reactions. Dust mites typically live in fabric items such as mattresses or carpets but can become airborne during activities such as making beds, plumping cushions or beating rugs.

Bacteria

Bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Legionella and Bacillus, which can be transmitted through the air, can cause health issues.

Aerosols and Viruses

Viruses can be transmitted via airborne aerosols. Wells air purifiers filters the aerosols –and therefore the viruses – to clean the air. ³

Mould

Fungal spores such as Aspergillus and Cladosporium can cause diseases, allergic and asthmatic reactions.

Pet Hair

Hair and dander (dead skin cells) from pets and humans are unpleasant pollutants that can cause bad smells and even carry microorganisms.

Quattro Filter System

Wells air purifiers feature four sequential filters developed to remove specific pollutants from the air. This Quattro filter system includes a smart custom filter, which can be individually selected to target specific elements such as allergens or ultra-fine dust.

1. Ultrafine Pre-Filter

The Ultrafine pre-filter captures the largest particles from the air, extending the lifetime of the other filters. The prefilter can be easily washed and does not need to be replaced.

2. Smart Custom Filter

Wells offers a series of custom filters that remove specific pollutants such as pollen or ultra-fine dust. With these smart custom filters, you can make the air purifiers perfectly meet the needs of the people in your home.

3. Active Carbon Filter

Activated carbon has the natural capacity to remove a wide variety of gases and VOC’s from the air that are not captured by Zero Clear Hepa filters.

4. Zero Clear Hepa Filter

Zero Clear Hepa filter technology is used in healthcare and industrial environments. These filters remove at least 99.97% of particles measuring 0.3 μm. ²

High Capacity Air Circulation

Air circulation is the key to constant fresh air. Wells air purifiers are fitted with a surprisingly silent BLDC ventilator with air inlets and outlets strategically placed to optimize the circulation of air in the room without creating unpleasant drafts.

BLDC Ventilators

The BLDC ventilator blades are carefully positioned to maximize the airflow capacity of the air purifier. BLDC ventilators are brushless: not only are they more efficient, but they are also more durable and extremely silent.

Airflow Management

The air inlets and outlets are designed to maximize the amount of air that is filtered and create optimal air circulation in the room where the purifier is placed. Although Wells air purifiers have a high airflow capacity, they do not create unpleasant drafts.

Clean Air Capacity

Wells air purifiers are developed to filter the air in a room up to 5 times per hour, making them suitable for people suffering from respiratory problems such as asthma. Depending on the model and the individual requirements, Wells air purifiers can filter up to 870 m³ of air in an indoor space every hour. ⁴

1) The capacity of all Wells Air Purifiers is tested by independent institutes applying the Modified US 42 CFR part 84 regulations for testing respiratory devices published by the US National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health.

2) Wells Air Purifiers are classified as N100 respiratory protective devices. According to the Modified US 42 CFR part 84 test methods, Wells Air Purifiers filters over 99.991% of Sodium-Chloride particles from the circulated air.

3) The Zero Clear Hepa Filter of the Wells Air Purifiers is able to filter aerosols. Viruses like Influenza (H1N1) and Covid-19 (Sars-Cov-2) that are attached to these aerosols would be captured by the Zero Clear Hepa filter. However, only aerosols that are in the air that passes through the air purifier can be filtered. Air purifiers are useful to contribute to a healthier indoor environment, but cannot prevent contamination by influenza, Covid-19 or any other virus.
4) The indicated capacity is the maximum capacity of Wells Air Purifier AN 734.

5) The indicated capacity is the noise level in sleep mode of Wells Air Purifier AL106.

6) The indicated air changes per hour is based on the typical values used in heating and ventilation guidelines. For living rooms and bed rooms, it is recommended that the air is changed at least between 1 and 3 times per hour, depending on the number of people in the room. In environments with high humidity or higher levels of air pollution, as well as for people with respiratory complaints, a higher rate of air changes per hour is recommended.
